I was quoted $175 in labor and $620 for apart from the manufacturer to repair the intake valve on my dishwasher. It was so much that it almost seemed like a new dishwasher was a better idea and then I found this website and with the help of a friend I figured out how to take out the valve myself and replace it. It was easy to do other than needing slightly specialized items such as a torx bit set to take the bottom of the dishwasher off. Part was easy to install and I've done about 10 loads since with no issues.
